On-Board Weighing System for Tippers

Approved weighing systems for tippers are build with load cells.

Two cells are mounted (in front) under the hydraulic cylinder and two cells are mounted (behind) under the tipping axle.

These systems are designed for the purpose of billing upon the basis of weight.

Non-approved weighing systems work upon the basis of measuring the pressure in the tipping cylinder & the air suspension.

This system is particularly suitable for simply displaying the weight of the (over) load and the axle load. When the vehicle is not equipped with air suspension then a combination of load cells & a hydraulic sensor can be used. Replacing the air suspension measurement by load cell gives a higher accuracy.
